Wrong information?
Open the place in Patorana and choose Report a problem. It works offline and is sent when you're back online.
Common questions
Does Patorana work without a signal?
Yes. Download a destination while you are online (Settings → Offline data). Browsing, maps, planning, your journal and expenses then work in Airplane Mode. Reports and sightings you make offline are sent automatically later.
Do I need an account?
No. An account is only needed to sync your trips, journal and expenses between devices and to publish trip stories. You can sign in with Apple or with a link sent to your email.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. You choose whether to keep your trips on this device. Sign-in stops immediately and everything stored on our server is erased within 30 days. See the privacy policy.
Why does Patorana ask for my location?
To show where you are on the map, sort places by distance and suggest marking a stop as visited. It is used on your device only, and only while you use the app. Your location is sent to us only if you report a sighting and choose to use your current position. You can change this in iOS Settings → Patorana → Location.
How do I get a copy of my data, or correct it?
Email us from the address you use for your account and say what you need. You also have the rights described in the privacy policy, including complaining to Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
How do I report a story or block someone?
Open the story and choose Report story or Block user. Blocking hides that author's stories from you straight away. We review reports and remove content that breaks the terms.
I own or manage a place listed in Patorana
You can ask for corrections by email. For informal spots, the place page has Own or manage this place? Request removal or correction; requests are resolved within 72 hours. Businesses can't pay to change rankings, trust levels or photos.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, and Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later paired to a supported iPhone.
Safety
Patorana can't help in an emergency. Contact the park authority, rangers or local emergency services directly, and always confirm road and safety conditions locally.
